Electric Space Fan Heater, Ceiling Mount Electric Garage Room Heater Black 17,065 BTU
Turn your garage, workshop or small event space into a comfortable area to spend your time all year round with this Commercial Heater, available here at GEARBUTIK!
Garages are much cooler in winter than any other parts of the house. However, heating it will help maintain a warmer and balanced temperature. With this 17,065 BTU fan heater, worry no more!
The fan-forced space heater is designed for ceiling mounting and hard-wired installation, which saves valuable floor space in a packed warehouse, garage or storage area. It helps to disperse heat throughout the room, while louvers and the variable mounting angle allow you to aim the airflow towards a specific area.
Crafted with a heavy gauge steel body, this commercial heater is built tough enough to endure daily use in poorly insulated areas where temperatures can fluctuate dramatically throughout the day.
The thermostat adjusts quickly using a dual knob at the front, which makes it easy to get just the right temperature for your space. For enhanced safety, the fan-forced commercial heater has a built-in sensor that automatically shuts the unit off if it overheats and an indicator light that ensures that you know exactly when it is powered on.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Question: Does the power indicator light stay on continuously or only when the heater is functioning?
Answer: The light will stay on as long as power is applied to the unit.
Question: Can you wire it to a switch to turn it off/on?
Answer: The unit has a rotary thermostat/switch built in. If you want to run off a wall switch, the switch needs to be rated for 240 volts.
Question: Is this heater capable of using an external thermostat?
Answer: Yes
Question: When the heater reaches the temp you selected does the fan shut off along with the heater?
Answer: Yes, it will shut both the fan and the heating element off.
Question: Is the fan loud?
Answer: No, not really. Just a typical air flow noise and slight motor hum.
Question: Can this heater be placed on a metal shelf or do you have to install it to a wall or ceiling?
Answer: Per the instruction manual, this heater should not be installed closer than 8 inches to a vertical surface. The heater is designed to be ceiling mounted for proper air circulation. Do not install less than 6 feet from the floor.
Question: Can I use a programmable thermostat with this heater?
Answer: As long as your thermostat is capable of switching a 220v, 30 amp line. Typically a programmable thermostat operates (cycles a furnace on/off) at 12vdc. You could use a high voltage solenoid between the thermostat and the heater: the thermostat would trip the 12vdc coil of the solenoid, and its high voltage contacts would cycle this heater on and off. Ultimately, you're better off utilizing the manual thermostat provided with this heater.
Question: What are the center to center measurements of the mounting bracket holes?
Answer: It's a good 12-16 inches across the top, small but powerful.
Question: I don’t have a 220 volts outlet, can the heater be powered by a 220 transformer?
Answer: Ideally, it should be hardwired directly into your fuse panel. Your 110v outlets are probably 15 or 20 amps and this unit draws 21 amps. Even if your source is not on a circuit with other outlets it will likely exceed the outlet's capacity.
Question: How many CFM will the fan push?
Answer: It doesn't have a CFM rating but you can feel it about 8 feet away.
Question: Can it heat a 500 sq ft insulated garage?
Answer: Yes, it easily heats a 500 sq ft insulated garage.
Question: Can you add an external low voltage thermostat?
Answer: You would have to install a starter rated for 30 amps 2 pole and with a 24 coil and transformer.
Question: Can this be hooked up to a 110 with a regular plug end??
Answer: This heater requires a single-phase hardwire connection (240-Volt AC) for installation and should be installed by a certified electrician.
Question: What voltage is it?
Answer: 240 volt, 5000 watts. You will need 10/2 with ground wire hooked to a double 30 breaker.
Question: What is the maximum temperature of the unit?
Answer: The max temp is relative. It has a 3000w, 4000w, and 5000w setting. How hot the room gets depends on the area of the room.
Question: Can this heat up a 750 sq ft insulated garage?
Answer: Yes, it can heat up a 750 sq ft insulated garage.
Question: Can I plug it where my air conditioner was plugged in?
Answer: You need to connect this unit to a 30 amp 240 volt circuit breaker.
Question: How many BTUs is this heater?
Answer: 17,065 BTUs
Question: Can you wire 2 heaters up to one thermostat?
Answer: Yes you can wire as many heaters as you want to one thermostat as long as you have room for the wires.
